ABOUT US

We are actively involved with the international community through educational and research activities for infectious disease control. The focus of our activities is overcoming neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Working with universities, research institutes, and related sectors in tropical and subtropical regions, we are working to strengthen our global health system based on the infectious disease research role models “infection control” and “drug discovery” inherited by the Kitasato Research Institute. We will comprehensively promote research and development on parasite ecology, pathogenicity, detection technology and control methods with a view to developing global health human resources who will contribute to overcoming NTDs and will contribute to the creation of a healthy community and the improvement of the quality of life (QOL).

Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Lab is working to achieve the SDGs. We will contribute to a sustainable society and aim to increase the value of academia lab through education and research activities.
